The town of Winder, very close to my hometown, was shaken by a terrible attack in September 2024. In a shooting at Apalachee High School, two teachers and two students lost their lives.

The community of Winder was left in shock, wondering why something like this could have happened there. These photos show the community’s response and the memorial to the lives cut short.
